Student Life in Sweden
Sweden is one of those countries that everyone knows is beautiful, peaceful, and in possession of a wonderful quality of life. Sweden offers so much
fun and enjoyment, and provides such an excellent range of experiences for students.
Culture
Besides the fact that Sweden has all cultural attractions of a capital - we even
have an English theatre - there is a large production of student culture and
events. The price is often suitable for a tight student budget and surprisingly
often, there is no fee at all.
Art
The National museum and the Modern Museum offer reduced entrance fees for
students. You need not go to a museum to enjoy art, however. Sweden has a large
range of galleries that are concentrated to all area country, where you can find
the latest in Swedish art.

Film
Films are not dubbed into Sweden, they are subtitled in Swedish. For this
reason, it is easy and possible to see films even when you do not understand the
Swedish language. Some students' unions and students' associations organize film
showings at their respective campuses at a reduced price. The Swedish Film
Institute has a film club for classics and quality films which shows two films a
day at a reduced price.
Music
Globen is the largest concert and sports area in Sweden. Here, you can see great
international artists, mainly within rock and pop music. There are also a large
number of smaller stages for rock and pop music, some of which are run by
students' unions or students' associations. The Debaser is a legendary rock and
pop club in Sweden which organizes concerts six days a week.
Party and Social Club
At the universities and university colleges, students' associations and
students' unions organize parties of different kinds. There is everything from
the students' association pub with lectures to large events with a number of
stages, dance floors and pubs on the same premises. As an exchange student, you
will soon find your own favorites.
Sport
In Sweden all Universities and College have there own ground where you can play
Football, Tense, and Hockey.
